![]() ![]() Now that I know where to stand, as long as they send out a car and not a shuttle, things will be better. Anyway, got some wires crossed on the drive back to the airport but maybe it was just me being unlucky 2x in a row. There were ZERO people at the security line. I had no issue catching my flight because this was Thanksgiving day and the airport was DEAD. ::sigh:: I complain to the guy that this happened last time and where exactly am I to stand? He said front. This time, they screwed up and sent a shuttle who went, of course, to the shuttle stop. Guy wasn't exactly friendly and he tells me he has me down as a no show. I'm out there at like 1:55.and wait and wait. Going back, I'm supposed to meet him at 2. ![]() Second time, again no issues getting to the Linq. If he wasn't late, there wouldn't have been an issue. ![]() So I was in the right spot but the ride was late. We think what happened was when I mentioned Bell Tran to the valet, he assumed shuttle bus, not VIP. We're still on the phone, I tell him I saw him and just stop at the front and I'll find you. He makes another lap around the property and I see him drive right by me on the way to the front of the hotel. I'm waiting at the shuttle stop and driver calls me again asking where I am.he doesn't see me. Meantime, the driver had called me to tell me he would be late. I said I was waiting for Bell Trans and he points to the far away shuttle stop and said I needed to go there. Finally one of the valets asked if I needed help. The first time, I was waiting out front of the hotel (the Linq). I've used this service twice and twice they screwed up. You set up the time you want to be picked up online when you make your reservations. My complaint is with the return trip to the airport. You get dropped off at the front of the hotel, not at the shuttle stop which sometimes is pretty far in the back. Tinted windows, driver grabbed my bag and put it in the trunk, hurried around to open the door for me. Grab your luggage inside the airport, go the Bell Trans booth, and, usually with no waiting, get in a fancy car or a limo. I'm a solo traveler and it's easily worth the price difference. I think the shuttle is around $15 per person, the VIP is around $28. I've done it a couple times and I've always been the only one whether it's from the airport or back. The difference is night and day when compared to the shuttle. I'd give the shuttle service maybe a 2.5. I never had an issue with the driver being late for a pickup to the airport nor cutting it close at the airport. Cheaper than a taxi, can't get long hauled, takes more time than a taxi. I guess that was nice but this was in June and it was 110 degrees. I had one driver turn it off as she was talking to two of the people she picked up. Some drivers are good, some are not so good. Then you're off for a multiple stop tour of hotels. The shuttle: dingy shuttle you sit in until it gets at least semi-full. Be aware that there are (at least) two levels of service. If you look at the other reviews, it seems like a Jekyll / Hyde situation. I've been going to Las Vegas every year for a couple years now and always used Bell Trans. However, for me, it was okay since I had prepared 1 hour from my arrival at Mccarran to Caesars and I made it to Caesars a few minutes after the 1 hour mark. I was the last passenger to be dropped off and it was a few minutes over 1 hour for them to transport me to Caesars Palace so if you're in a rush to get to your hotel, taking the Bell Trans airport shuttle might not be for you. The driver (I think his name was David) was friendly and handed out a Vegas tourist mini-magazine with coupons and offered some advice to first time Vegas travelers and things that people can do. ![]() However, since halves are not allowed, I put "Very Good" in the rating. Taking into consideration that this is a group shuttle service that stops at various hotels, I wasn't in a rush for time and my review is based on this fact so I rated them to be between Average (3 stars) and Very Good (4 stars). She pointed me to the direction for the shuttle stop and I went into the shuttle within a few minutes. She asked me if I wanted return but I told her that I would only take one-way ($8.00) to Caesars Palace. The lady selling the tickets was very polite. I purchased my ticket immediately after picking up my luggage at Mccarran International Airport on Sunday January 17 around 2:15pm. ![]()
